Online English Student's Guide

view a slideshow What is Online Learning?

Online courses offer opportunities to learn in new ways and make learning available if you cannot attend a class on campus.  You do not meet your classmates and teacher in a campus classroom, but use the internet for class discussions, communication, and course activities.   You complete the same assignments as students in the face-to-face classroom.   These classes require the same amount of time as your classes on campus, but you do your work from home using your computer.  Courses are accredited and will transfer to universities.  The tuition cost is the same as a comparable on-campus class.  The major difference is the mode of delivery.

Are you an Online Learner?
Online learning is not for everyone.  To determine if you are an Online Learner, you may want to take our short survey.  Before registering for an online class, view the characteristics of a successful online student at Prospective Students.
