How Students can Avoid Plagiarism

Plagiarism is defined as "academic misconduct" in the MCCCD Student Policy Manual. Student might commit plagiarism for different reasons, including poor planning resulting in a not enough time to write an assignment properly, lacking confidence in their writing ability, and not understanding how to properly use and cite source material.  These resources explain what plagiarism is, how to avoid plagiarism by correctly and accurately attributing source material, and properly using source material in your writing.
