The
Student Welcome Packet is designed to help instructors introduce course
policies. Instructors can download any pieces of the packet they want
to use. Other than the letter, any or all the pieces of the packet can
be modified to fit an instructor’s particular needs or perspective. In
addition, instructors can add their own pieces such as course syllabi or
other information sheets. Then, the packet can be sent to IKON for
duplication for the students.
The Student
Welcome Packet uses the Welcome Letter as the table of contents and
cover page. If instructors modify the contents of the packet, the table
of contents should be modified to reflect the packet contents. However,
the body of the letter should not be altered as the letter comes from
the Department Chair. Moreover, this letter should be signed by the
Department Chair.
