    Login To Web Express

      1. Launch the Netscape Communicator application.
      2. At the Location box, enter the following URL:

      3. http://gcmail.maricopa.edu/weblogin.html
      4. Press Return.
      5. Click in the username box, then enter your username.
      6. Click in the password box, then enter your password.
      7. Click Login.

    Create and Send a Message mail


    Address a Message Using the Directory

      1. At the Compose Mail Window, click in the To:, CC:, or BCC: field.
      2. Click the Directory action button below the Subject field: in the Compose Mail message

      3. header to display the Search Directory window.
      4. Select the appropriate search criteria option from the drop-down menu

      5. (Common Name = first name, Surname = last name,
        E-Mail Address = e-mail address).
      6. Select the Begins With or Contains radio button.
      7. Enter the search criteria in the Begins With textbox.
      8. Click the Search button.
      9. Select the desired addressee by clicking in the checkbox to the left of the username.
      10. Scroll down and select the To:, CC:, or BCC: option.
      11. Click the "Add to this Message" link.
      12. Repeat steps 3-9 to enter multiple addresses.
      13. Click Done to return to the Compose Mail screen.


    Create Personal Address Book Entries

    Personal Mail lists are not available in Web Express. Creating personal
    entries in the WebExpress Address Book is strongly recommended.
      1. Click the Directory Access  link on the Web Express toolbar.
      2. Select the appropriate search criteria option from the drop-down menu.

      3. (Common Name = first name, Surname = last name,
        E-Mail Address = e-mail address).
      4. Select the Begins With or Contains radio button.
      5. Enter the search criteria in the Begins With textbox.
      6. Click the Search button.
      7. Locate and select the appropriate addressee by clicking in the checkbox to the left of

      8. the username.
      9. Click the Add to Address Book button.
      10. Repeat steps 2-7 to add additional names to the Web Express Address Book.
      11. Click the View Messages button to close the Directory menu.


    Address a Message Using the Address Book

      1. At the Compose Mail Window, scroll to the right to view the Address Book.
      2. Click in the To:, CC:, or BCC: radio button.
      3. Select the desired e-mail address from the drop-down menu.
      4. Repeat steps 2-3 to enter multiple addresses.


    Save a Message to Send Later (Postpone)


    Read and Edit a Draft (Postponed) Message

    (Postponed messages must be retrieved from Web Express when ready to send.)
      1. From the N-PLEX WebExpress toolbar, click the View Messages link.
      2. From the drop-down menu on the Read Mail screen, select the Postponed-Mail folder.
      3. Click the link of the message to be edited.
      4. Make the necessary edits.
      5. When you are ready to send the message, click the Send button  in the toolbar. If you are

      6. not ready to send the message, you may save it in the Postponed-Mail folder again.


    Retrieve and Read New Messages

      1. From the N-PLEX WebExpress toolbar, click the View Messages link.
      2. From the drop-down menu on the Read Mail screen, select the Inbox folder
      3. Click the link of the desired message.
      4. If necessary, use the scroll bar on the far right to navigate within the message.
      5. If you want to read other messages in the same folder, click the Prev or Next action button

      6. while reading the current message.
      7. Click the View Messages link to return to the Inbox folder index.


    Print a Message

      1. Select the desired message.
      2. While reading the message, click in the frame where the message is displayed.
      3. Click the Print button in the Netscape Navigation toolbar across the top.

      4. The Print dialog box will display.
      5. Set any desired options in the Print dialog box.
      6. Click OK.


    Reply to a Message

      1. From the Read Mail Screen, select the desired folder.
      2. Click the link of the desired message.
      3. While reading the message, select the desired reply option from the drop-down menu .
      1. Click the Reply button.
      2. Enter your reply in message area of Compose Mail window.
      3. Click the Send button when you are ready to send the message.


    Forward a Message

      1. From the N-PLEX WebExpress toolbar, click the View Messages  link.
      2. From the drop-down menu on the Read Mail screen, select the desired folder
      3. Click the link of the desired message.
      4. While reading the message, click the Forward button above the message window.
      5. Enter the desired username(s) in the appropriate field(s).
      6. Enter a cover note in message area of Compose Mail window.
      7. Click the Send button when you are ready to send the message.


    Attach a File to an Unsent Message

      1. Click the New Message link on the

      2. N-PLEX WebExpress Toolbar.
      3. Complete the message with addressee/s, subject, and text content.
      4. Scroll down to the Attach File: box, then click the Browse button.
      5. Click the Down Arrow next to the Files of type box, then select All Files.
      6. Navigate through the folders to locate and select the file you wish to attach.
      7. Click Open (Windows) or Attach (Mac).
      8. Click the Send button when you are ready to send the message.


    Detach a File from an Unsent Message

      1. From the Compose Mail window, scroll down to the Attach File: box.
      2. Select the entire filename of the message to be detached.
      3. Press the Backspace key on the keyboard.
      4. Click the Send button when you are ready to send the message.


    Open and Save an Attachment

      1. While reading a message with an attachment, click the icon for the attachment.

      2. (Mac) A Save As window will display prompting you to save the file to disk.
        (Windows) If you have the correct application on your computer, a Warning window
        will display asking what you want to do with the file; open it or save it to disk. Click Save
        it to disk and then click OK.  The Save As window will display.
      3. Navigate to locate the folder on your hard drive in which to save this document.
      4. Click Save.


    Read an Attachment

      1. Launch the appropriate application.
      2. From the File menu, select Open. The Open dialog box will display.
      3. Navigate to locate and select the document; then click Open.
