Grade Checking

On-Line Gradebook from GradeKeeper:

You may obtain access to your grades using the following links. The grades are entered and calculated in a program called Gradekeeper and are reported to you on a web page that is visible only to you. In order to access this personal data, you will have to log in to the gradebook for your course.

Click on the link for your course name, day & class time. You will then see a login page.
Student Name: "Lastname, Firstname" without the quotes. It is case-sensitive and is the name you provided at registration. Be sure to include the comma and space between the Lastname and the Firstname.
Student ID Code: This is the PIN or Password that your instructor assigned to you in class on your first quiz.

Upon log in, you will see your individual grade web page showing your scores for completed work and a list of upcoming assignments. Your current points and average will be shown along the bottom of the page.

For GLG101: After the scores for Exam 4 have been posted, you can determine whether the final exam can raise your grade using the following calculation where TP is your Total Points and LES is your Lowest Exam Score from Exams 1 - 4.

For a grade of A, the number of points you would need on the final would be (450 - TP) + LES

For a grade of B, the number of points you would need on the final would be (400 - TP) + LES

For a grade of C, the number of points you would need on the final would be (350 - TP) + LES

For a grade of D, the number of points you would need on the final would be (300 - TP) + LES

If the number of points that you need is above 100, then that grade is unobtainable given your current number of points because there are only 100 points possible on the Final Exam. The Final Exam cannot lower your grade. Remember, if you are satisfied with your current grade after Exam 4, you do not need to take the final (i.e. if you already have an "A" after Exam 4, there is no need to take the final exam).

Please alert me to any questions or problems if they should arise. Have a great semester!
