review of basic science principles, math and calculator operations
- Prerequisites:
none
- Intended Clientele:
students enrolling in PHY 101, 111, and PHS 110 who are insecure
or deficient in basic science,math, and calculator usage

PHY 101 INTRODUCTION TO PHYSICS Lecture/Lab
4 credits
- Topics Covered:
A survey of the basic principles of physics emphasizing application
to modern life.
- Prerequisites:
understanding of elementary algebra (a grade of "C"
or better in MAT092 or higher class)
- Intended Clientele:
non-majors, liberal studies science credit AGEC-A, and AGEC-B
- Transferability:
Equivalent to PHY 101 at ASU SQ/SG credit, Equivalent to PHY
141 at NAU Liberal Studies Lab Science credit, Equivalent to
PHYS 101 at U of A
PHY 111 GENERAL PHYSICS I Lecture/lab 4 credits
- Topics Covered:
non-calculus approach to mechanics,fluids,sound,heat
- Prerequisites:
trigonometry
- Intended Clientele:
pre-professional- people considering medical/dental school, pharmacy,
or physical therapy; non-majors. AGEC-A, and AGEC-B
