Educational Resources:
Links to other Educational and Informative Pages
The majority of these pages act as resources for
teachers at Higher Education educational institutions (Community Colleges,
Universities, etc.). Commonly, however, these pages have links to student projects
and shareware activities for students. The pages are split between geology
and non-geology specific. Take a look around!
This page, put together by John Butler at the
University of Houston, lists LOTS of Geology, Computer & Science related
sites, courses, and "virtual field trips". I *highly* recommend
checking this out!!
This site, maintained by Arthur Busbey at Texas
Christian University, has a complete list of known available geological
modelling software for the Mac.
Lots of great lesson plans and make-your-own demonstrations in a number
of categories that would easily be adapted as part of an intro to a college
section. Collaborative learning exercises!
This page is still under construction...
Please
be advised! All sites listed on this page are maintained by people and
projects outside of the Maricopa CCC District system and GCC. We are
