ART HISTORY

The goal of the Art History program is to provide an environment of instruction and exploration through which the student can develop a sound foundation of knowledge in visual culture. Art History courses provide a broad perspective and general knowledge of art history, and focus on the relationship between works of art and their historical contexts. Students will be introduced to the significant achievements in art with an aim to developing sensitivity to their visual environment, establishing a basis for critical judgment of individual works, and deepening their appreciation of art.
