Accessing the General Biology Simulation Software
At GCC
To access the simulation experiments from an eGCC computer,
you will need to follow the steps listed below:
- if you have not already done so, log on to the eGCC network (using your eGCC user name and password)
- click on the start button (in the lower left hand corner of the screen) and select "Programs"
- navigate to "Biology" on the program menu and then select "General Biology Simulation Experiments" and then the particular experiment you are interested in doing.
These steps should bring up that program.
or
- if you have not already done so, log on to the Palette (using your Palette user name and password)
- find and double-click on each of the following in sequence:
- My Computer
- shared on gccaz.edu (S): (You will find this under Network Drives)
- courses
- BIO
- Start
- General Biology Simulation Experiments
- Shortcut for desired experiment
From home
Most of the simulation experiments are not accessible
from a remote location. However, a version of the beet experiment can be accessed
either on campus or from home using the following link:
http://www.gc.maricopa.edu/biology/flash/beet.html.
