GCC Unix Home Page

Welcome to the Glendale Community College UNIX/Linux Home Page.  This web site is here to help you get started on your UNIX/Linux Course experience. This will provide you with links to the Course Guide for the WEB Edition of CIS126AA, CIS126BA, and CIS126CA. It also provides links to other popular UNIX or Linux web sites. This page is to be used as a resource for all students taking UNIX courses at Glendale Community College, Glendale, Arizona.

If you are taking a UNIX/Linux course you must download the secure software to use from home to connect to the GCC UNIX/Linux system for your exercises. Use either the Putty link below or the SSH link below. Either one is satisfactory for the course, the interfaces are slightly different but once you get connected to the gnix.gc.maricopa.edu server there is no difference.

Now you will want to begin reading the course guide you downloaded from below and begin the course using your course guide and the secure shell software you downloaded. The course guide also has tips on how to log in from work or home or from another Unix/Linux system you may be using.
