  • Reading / Practice - This is content material for the Chapter often involving hands on work from the text. Do NOT skip reading and doing this material.

The "Self Check" questions are designed to clarify items that students have had difficulties wiht previously. Pay extra attention to them.

    Where can I work?

You will be able to do all of your work at Glendale Community College, in HTC1 or HTC2. Both HTC1 and HTC2 are open labs and you will need to use your Palette account username and password to login into any of the computers in the lab area. Feel free to ask the HTC1 or HTC2 staff for help, as they are more than happy to help you login and get started with your course. Understand that the staff may not be familiar with the software you are using, so any questions can be sent to the instructor by using the "Ask a Question" link.

If you choose to work from home, you will need to have Microsoft PowerPoint 2003, Internet Explorer (version 5.5 or higher) and Outlook Express installed on your personal computer. Also, you will need an internet connection (ISP or Internet Service PRovider). For various technical reasons you can not use AOL as the Internet Service Provider.

For questions about your Palette account or your student email account, call the Student Help Desk at 623.845.HELP (4357) or send an email message to student-helpdesk@student.gc.maricopa.edu
