Lessons

There is a 4 step process to complete each Lesson
1.Read 2.Practice
You will be assigned a chapter from the text book to read. There will also be supplemental reading and examples online that are optional The practice work assigned will help you create the basis for your assignment. Although the practice work will not be graded, it is critical for you to be able to complete your assignment
3.Assignment 4.Quiz
After you have completed the Reading and the Practice work of a Lesson, you will then be able to complete the Assignment. Your assignment will be sent in to be graded through e-mail At the end of 10 of the Lessons you will have a short 5 question open book quiz to help you review key terms and concepts.

Where can I work?

You will be able to do all of your work at Glendale Community College, in HTC1 or HTC2. Both HTC1 and HTC2 are open labs and you will need to use your Palette account username and password to login into any of the computers in the lab area. Feel free to ask the HTC1 or HTC2 staff for help, as they are more than happy to help you login and get started with your course. Understand that the staff may not be familiar with the software you are using, so all Flash questions can be sent to the instructor or asked in the course forum.

If you choose to work from home, you will need to have Flash 5 installed on your personal computer. You will also need an internet connection and an email account. Flash MX is also compatible with the course work, although some screenshots and terms will not match with the Flash MX interface. If you work at both home and at GCC, you will need to make sure that you save any work in Flash MX in the Flash 5 format.

For questions about your Palette account or your student email account, call the Student Help Desk at 623.845.HELP (4357) or send an email message to student-helpdesk@student.gc.maricopa.edu
