Lesson 1
Practice Work
  1. Start Flash
  2. Close the default Movie1 file
  3. Create a new movie file
  4. Save the new file with the name OVAL
  5. Set the movie properties as follows
    • Frame Rate: 10
    • Stage Width: 500px
    • Stage Height: 300px
    • Background Color: Yellow (#FFFF00)
    • Click OK
  6. Display the rulers and grid
  7. Select the Oval Tool
  8. Draw an oval on the stage as follows:
    • Start at appoximately 50 on the horizontal ruler and 50 on the vertical ruler
    • Drag down to approximately 200 on the horizontal ruler and 200 on the vertical ruler
  9. Use Undo to remove the shape
  10. Use Redo to put it back
  11. Save the changes to the file
  12. Close the file
  13. Open the Oval file
  14. Save the file as Oval2
  15. Draw another oval as follows:
    • Start at appoximately 250 on the horizontal ruler and 50 on the vertical ruler
    • Drag down to approximately 400 on the horizontal ruler and 100 on the vertical ruler
  16. Compare your screen to the following screen shot
  17. Save the file and close Oval2

  1. Look at the following screen shot and use the following settings to replicate it in Flash
    Movie Properties
    • Movie Width: 400px
    • Movie Height: 250px
    • Background Color: Green
    • Frame Rate: 12



  2. Save the file as CIS120DC01
