    Read and do the work for the "Intelligent Actions" chapter.

Practice Work
  1. Start Flash
  2. Open the LANDSCAPE file that you created in Lesson 7.
  3. Save the file as LANDSCAPE3.
  4. Convert the Sun object to a movie clip symbol, named Sun.
  5. Edit the Sun movie clip symbol and add sun rays around the sun, rotate the sun using motion tween and the rotate property. 1 clockwise rotation over 24 frames.
  6. Return to the Scene and create a 30 frame motion tween combined with a motion guide for the sun movie clip symbol to move across the sky. Refer to the image below
  7. Group the instances of the cloud symbol in the cloud layer and use a motion tween to move them from the left of the stage to the right of the stage.
  8. Insert frames in the remaining layers to complete the scene.
  9. Save the file.
  10. Test the movie by using the Test Movie command from the Control menu.
  11. Compare to the image below

  1. Create a new file and use the necessary tools to replicate the image below.

  2. Movie and Instance Properties
    • Movie Width: 300px
    • Movie Height: 200px
    • Create a new Movie Clip Symbol named Ball. The movie clip symbol should be a circle with radial gradiant that is off center. The movie clip symbol should spin clockwise over 30 frames, so that the center of the gradiant rotates around the edge of the circle.
    • Use an instance of the Ball symbol as the center. Insert another instance of the Ball symbol that motion tweens around the center symbol and is also tinted red.
  3. Save the file as CIS120DC10
