  1. Start Flash
  2. Save the file as STOPANDSTART.
  3. Set the Width to 300px the Height to 200px, leave the background as white.
  4. Rename the layer to "frameactions"
  5. Insert a stop action in frame 1
  6. Insert a keyframe in frame 15 and insert a stop action
  7. Insert a keyframe in frame 30 and insert a stop action
  8. Insert a new layer named "tweens"
  9. Create a shapetween that start from scene 1 and ends at frame 15
  10. Create a motiontween that starts from frame 16 and end at frame 30
  11. Insert a new layer named "mybutton"
  12. Create a button symbol, named "mybutton".
  13. Edit the mybutton symbol and create a rectangle for the up state. Add the text "play" and create the remaining instances of the button symbol.
  14. Return to the Scene and insert the mybutton symbol.
  15. Add a play action to the mybutton symbol.
  16. Save the file.
  17. Test the movie by using the Test Movie command from the Control menu.
  18. Compare to the image below

  1. Create a new file and use the necessary tools to replicate the swf file below.

  2. Movie and Instance Properties
    • Movie Width: 300px
    • Movie Height: 200px
    • Using the Practice file, LANDSCAPE3 incorporate a stop and play button to control the movie
    • Include a stop frame action to begin the movie, this will allow the user to start the movie by clicking on the play button. The stop button should allow the user to stop the movie at any point in the timeline.
  3. Save the file as CIS120DC12
