  • Foundation Flash MX
    Read and do the work for the "Shape Tweening" chapter.

 

Lesson 7
Practice Work
  1. Start Flash
  2. Save the File as LANDSCAPE
  3. Display the rulers with the snap to option on
  4. Set the Width to 300px the Height to 200px, leave the background as white
  5. Rename Layer1 to "background"
  6. Use the rectangle tool to draw a green foreground and a blue sky
  7. Add a new layer and name it "sun"
  8. Use the oval tool to draw a yellow circle in the top-left of the stage
  9. Add a new layer and name it "clouds"
  10. Use the brush tool to draw a white cloud
  11. Convert the white cloud into a symbol named "cloud"
  12. Copy 3 more instances of the cloud symbol onto the stage
  13. Resize two of the instances and use the effects panel to change the Alpha setting of the third instance
  14. Add a new layer and name it "tree"
  15. Use the brush tool to draw the brown trunk of the tree
  16. Use the brush tool to draw the green leaves of the tree
  17. Add a new layer and name it "road"
  18. Use the rectangle tool to draw a brown road - use the arrow tool to change the shape of the rectangle
  19. Arrange the cloud instances to overlap the sun and behind the tree
  20. Save the file and compare to the image below

Assignment
  1. Create a new file and use the necessary tools to replicate the image below.


  2. Movie and Instance Properties
    • Movie Width: 300px
    • Movie Height: 200px
    • Create a single circle and convert it to a symbol. Use the Effects panel to change the tint of each instance.
    • The 8 ball should be on its own layer
    • The 3 and 2 ball should be on its own layer
    • The 4, 5 and 6 should be on its own layer
    • The green background should be on its own layer
  3. Save the file as CIS120DC07
