- Start Flash
- Save the file as TWEEN1
- Set the Width to 300px the Height to 200px, leave the background
as white.
- Rename the layer to "shapetween"
- Create a circle shape in the upper left corner of the stage,
approximately 50 pixels by 50 pixels
- Insert a keyframe at frame 10, delete the circle shape and replace
it with a square shape, move it to the horizontally to the center
of the stage
- Insert a keyframe at frame 20, delete the square shape and replace
it with a circle shape that has a different fill pattern than
the circle shape in frame 1, then move it to the upper right corner
of the stage.
- Return to frame 1 and use the frame panel to create a shape
tween.
- Return to frame 10 and use the frame panel to create a shape
tween
- Add a new layer and rename it "motiontween"
- Create a circle shape at the center of the stage and group the
shape
- Add a keyframe at frame 20 and move the circle shape slightly
to the right.
- Return to frame 1 and use frame panel to create a motion tween.
- Add a guide layer to the motiontween layer, by right-clicking
over the motiontween layer and clicking on Add motion guide
- On the Guide layer use the oval tool to create an empty circle
that the motion tween will follow. (use the image below as a reference)
- Use the eraser tool to make a break in the circle.
- Return to frame 1 of the motiontween layer and "snap"
the circle shape to the beginning of the circle
- Return to frame 20 of the motiontween layer and "snap"
the circle shape to the end of the circle
- Hit Enter on your Keyboard to see the animation
- Save the File and compare to the image below

- Create a new file and use the necessary tools to replicate the
image below.

- You will need to use the rotation tool to have the blue arrow
properly rotate throughout the motion tween.
- You will need to use the rotation tool as well as the "orient
to path" option for the red arrow tween that uses the motion
guide.
- The shape tween should remain centered and tween from a circle
shape to a square shape back to a circle shape, with the square
shape also having a different fill pattern.
- Movie Properties
- Movie Width: 400px
- Movie Height: 275px
- Save the file as CIS120DC09
