Provides students with the ability to use Macromedia Flash MX graphics
software on microcomputers. Covers basic animation techniques used in
the creation, manipulation, and editing of Flash animation graphics. This

Official Course Goals and Objectives
- Identify Flash tools. (I)
- Use vector graphics to create simple Flash animations. (II)
- Save new graphics in the Flash Library. (III)
- Use layers and timelines to create Flash animation. (IV)
- Create motion and shape tweens. (V)
- Add sound to Flash animation movies. (VI)
- Utilize Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) documents to embed Flash
movies for delivery to the World Wide Web. (VII)
Course Requirements and Procedure
This course is organized into 15 Lessons. Each Lesson will require reading
from the textbook. From the reading you will complete the practice work
and then complete the assignment and submit itfor grading.
Each Lesson has the following parts
- Reading
- You will be assigned a chapter from the text book to read.
- There will also be supplemental reading and examples online
- Practice Work
- The practice work assigned will help you create the basis for your
assignment
- Although the practice work will not be graded, it is critical for
you to be able to complete your assignment
- Assignment
- After you have completed the Reading and the Practice work of a
Lesson, you will then be able to complete the Assignment. Your assignment
will be sent in to be graded through e-mail.
Grading
- Assignments are graded twice a week on average.
- Quizzes are graded once a week on average.
- Assignments MUST be sent in using the proper links on the CIS120DC
pages.
