computer at home or you can use a computer here on campus.

You can order this book by clicking this link or you can purchase it at
the bookstore on campus.
PREREQUISITES:
None, however, you should understand the basics of Windows
XP.

Work through each chapter, one at a time. Each of
the three assignments above are worth twenty-five points. You may
turn each file in one at a time, or all three at once. If you would
like feedback, please give me a call.
PRACTICE FILES

If you plan on completing the course from off-campus, simply
install the practice files as outlined in the textbook.

If you are going to complete the course from GCC, the practice
files can be found at s:\cis124. Save the files you are working on
to your desktop, h:\ or a floppy disk, which ever you prefer. If
you have trouble locating the files, ask an IA for help.
GRADES
Your grade is based upon the homework shown below. A total
of 75 points are possible. Your final grade is determined based on this
scale:

TURNING IN HOMEWORK
You may turn in your homework in any of these ways:

Drop your completed assignment in the box on my door (in
room O1-102).

Mail it to me via the postal service.

E-mail it to me at richard.shortridge@gcmail.maricopa.edu.
This is the best way to turn in your assignments.

Fax it to me.
Using the file > page setup > header menu choices,
be sure to include your name in the upper left-hand corner of each sheet.
If
you want your homework returned you must also include your address in the
upper left-hand corner of each sheet you turn in. Also,
go to Tools > Options > General and type in your name in the User
name text box.
