Career assessment tests are tools that help us learn about ourselves, and help to clarify and explore career options. There is no pass/fail element to these assessments. Counseling and Career Services offers several assessments:
Strong Interest Inventory (*fee-see below) - This assessment measures interests, not abilities, and will compare your likes and dislikes to people who are satisfied in specific careers. Provides insight about interests, career motivators, skills confidence, and personal style as well as provides career options.
WOWI (World of Work Inventory) (*fee-see below) - A comprehensive career/vocational assessment instrument constructed to help a person learn about him/herself in relation to the wide variety of occupations available. The assessment also provides a comprehensive look at the individual's work-related interests, abilities and personality.
Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (*fee-see below) - The MBTI helps you identify your personality type based on preferences within four categories. Results provide personal awareness and identify the careers that will serve as an outlet for your most natural self.
COPS (California Occupational Preference System) (*fee-see below) - A brief inventory of interests providing measurement of job activity preferences in terms of fourteen clusters of related occupations. Questions are based on job activity descriptions. This test helps to define interests in terms of occupational areas and helps to identify career options.
KUDERS (College and Career Planning System) (*fee-see below) - The KUDERS assessment helps to process a person's interest, skills, and work values. The assessment results help individuals in building their career plan and exploring a variety of college and career options.
