GED Information
GED testing is done in the Testing Services Center (TDS-Rm 118).

- Friday 9:00 am - 3:30 pm
- GED Testing Times
Tuesday 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
- Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
- Sign-in begins at 8:00 am
- 16 seats are available each day

fees
- $50.00 covers
the entire test battery
- $10.00 for each additional
retest
GED test criteria
If you are 18 or older :
- You need two forms of I.D. (one must be a photo I.D.)
If you are 16 or 17 years
old :
-
You must not be attending high school or have a diploma
- You need a picture I.D.
- Birth certificate
- Notarized letter from your guardian giving permission
to test
- Withdrawal statement from last school attended
Ged Test
- Writing Skills (2 hrs.) 50 Questions and an Essay.
- Social Studies (1 hr. and 10 min.) 50 Questions
- Science (1 hr. and 10 min.) 50 Questions
- Language Arts, Reading (1 hr. and 5 min.) 40 Questions
- Math, two parts (45 min. each) 25 questions each.
General Information
- You must be at least 16 years old to take the GED exam.
- When an applicant begins testing they will have a maximum of 12 weeks (90 days) to complete the entire test or it will be destroyed.
- A maximum of two retests are allowed in each area per year and must be finished within three years.
- Test results will be sent by mail and normally arrive in approximately four to five weeks.
- Passing scores areas follows: total points of 2250, an average score of 450 points, and a minimum score of 410 in each area. All three requirements must be met to receive the GED diploma.
