Chemistry Day is an outreach event put on by the Chemistry Department each Fall. Chemistry Day is celebrated at GCC on the Friday of Chemistry Week (October 16 - 22). Chemistry Week always fall around October 23rd - think Avogadro's number. We will be celebrating Chemistry Day on October 21, 2011 from 9 am to noon. The department invites several elementary schools (grades 3 - 6) to campus to participate in activities and a demonstration show. All GCC students and visitors are welcome to view the demonstration show (held outside on the east end of the Physical Sciences building). Unfortunately, due to space and safety constraints, the general public is not allowed to participate in the classroom activities.
