The Children’s Center program is designed to support both parents and children. The curriculum is based on developmental theories and child-centered methodologies. Learning occurs through interactive experiences.
The curriculum goal is to help children acquire skills and behaviors that promote optimum social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth. This is accomplished in an environment that is planned, yet responsive to individual needs and environmental happenings. Opportunities are provided for children to take responsibility, make decisions, and learn through play.
The classroom is arranged into defined
learning centers. The room arrangement and variety of materials
encourage active exploration and discovery. A rich outdoor
environment further extends the children’s learning.
