August 14, 2001 - A monsoon dust storm (haboob) moves in from the north at
Glendale Community College. The storm contained wind gusts of 60 - 65 mph
and broke branches off trees and caused minor property damage. No
measurable rain occurred at Glendale Community College.
Another Great Haboob - This haboob originated north of Tucson, AZ and moved
quickly towards the Estrella Mountains just south of Phoenix. This picture
shows the dust moving over the mountains (beneath the dust).
