This image shows a mirage over WIlcox Playa which is located in the southeastern portion of Arizona.  The mirage is what appears to be the reflection (which looks like water) approximately across the middle of the picture.  This very common type of mirage is also seen on road surfaces during the heat of the day.  In this image, light from the vegetation and the house is bent upwards towards the eye of the observer (camera).  This gives the impression of a reflection as off the surface of water.  But it is actually a refraction of light through the higher temperature air above the playa.
