CRYSTAL GROWTH AND HABITS - Crystals are thin and tabular sometimes with wedge shaped terminations.  Also fibrous to massive.

COLOR AND OPTICAL PROPERTIES - Colorless to white.  Transparent to translucent.

SPECIFIC GRAVITY - 6.1 - 6.3

LUSTER - Sub adamantine to dull

STREAK - White

BREAKABILITY - Good cleavage along {100}.

OCCURRENCE - Paralaurionite is a mineral that is formed by the weathering of lead minerals.

ASSOCIATED MINERALS - Laurionite, Phosgenite, Leadhillite Matlockite, Cerussite, Hydrocerussite and Diaboleite.

MINERAL NAME - In reference to the polymorphic relation to Laurionite.
