A cube of Galena that has been modified by the octahedral crystal form.
Specifically, the corners of the cube have been truncated by the octahedral
form.
Galena has very good cubic cleavage (cleavage in three directions at right
angles). In fact it is difficult to get the Galena to break in any other
manner.
