FELDSPAR GROUP -  This is a very large family of minerals and contains the common varieties of ORTHOCLASE and PLAGIOCLASE.

labr2.jpg (249708 bytes) This is Labrodorite which is a variety of PLAGIOCLASE feldspar.

Fluorite1.jpg (628821 bytes) This is a FLUORITE crystal from China.  Fluorite crystals are commonly cubic and can be a variety of colors.

galenacl1555.jpg (156700 bytes)  GALENA is very good cubic cleavage.  It is also has a bright metallic luster and is very heavy.

garnet.jpg (227118 bytes) GARNET crystals come in a variety of forms.  This is a fairly typical form displaying the dodecahedral (diamond shaped) faces.  Garnets also occur in a variety of colors... not just red.

GRAPHITE1J.jpg (141126 bytes) GRAPHITE easily marks paper.  It is also light weight, soft and feels greasy.
