EPIDOTE crystals commonly have a pistachio green
color.
FELDSPAR GROUP - This is a very large family of minerals and contains
the common varieties of ORTHOCLASE and PLAGIOCLASE.

appearance.
This is Labrodorite which is a variety of PLAGIOCLASE
feldspar.
This is a FLUORITE crystal from China. Fluorite
crystals are commonly cubic and can be a variety of colors.
Here are a variety of colors of Fluorite are seen in octahedral (4 directions)
cleavage.
GALENA is very good cubic cleavage. It is also
has a bright metallic luster and is very heavy.
GARNET crystals come in a variety of forms. This
is a fairly typical form displaying the dodecahedral (diamond shaped)
faces. Garnets also occur in a variety of colors... not just red.
A couple of small GOLD nuggets found in the Bradshaw
Mountains just north of GCC.
GRAPHITE easily marks paper. It is also light
weight, soft and feels greasy.
This is a single, clear GYPSUM crystal. (These
are NOT cleavage faces.)
HALITE crystals from Trona, CA. Halite is common
salt.
