Employee Organizations and Committees


The following is a (partial) list of employee organizations, committees, and administrative projects at Glendale Community College:

  • Administrative Group
    Comprised of the College President, the Deans, Associate Deans, employee group representatives, and directors who report to the College President.

  • College Technology Committee
    Monthly meeting open to all members of campus, with subcommittee and service area reports from campus student and technology support departments and projects, to discuss and to steer the use of technology at GCC.

  • Faculty Senate
    Organization of full-time faculty representatives "to promote the full participation of the faculty in the determination of education policy [at GCC] and the execution of that policy."

  • Futures Committee
    A merger of the Strategic Planning Committee and Operational Planning Team, to "establish strategic goals in support of the desired future, and monitor actions plans designed to achieve the desired future" of GCC.

  • MAT
    Organization representing the Management, Administrative and Technological employee group in Maricopa Community Colleges.

  • President's Advisory Committee
    Employee group and campus area representatives who act "as a steward over the well-being of the college," to share information, advise the President on topics and issues, and to assess the accountability of current processes to handle college concerns.

  • PSA
    Glendale branch of the organization representing the Professional Staff Association employee group in Maricopa Community Colleges.

  • Web Steering Committee
    Monthly meeting of GCC faculty and staff with interest in the development of GCC web sites; this group provides general direction for the campus home page and web publishing among department web sites.

  • Women's Leadership Group
    Organization to provide for the continuous development of a strong and supportive work environment for the diverse women of the Maricopa Community Colleges.
