We are thankful for the semester – including our record level of full-time student equivalency – and the opportunities it brings for us to teach and serve our students.

We are thankful for our faculty and staff, who each day have the opportunity to shape current and future generations by imparting their wisdom and insights.

We are thankful for an inviting campus that is maintained so immaculately by the maintenance staff.

Glendale Community College (GCC) is a place we are proud – and thankful – to showcase. Several of our facilities have been, or are being, refurbished, and we look forward in January to the opening of our Public Safety building.

Because of sound fiscal management, we have allocated our technology budget wisely and are making strides to serve our campuses more effectively through the eGCC conversion.

These are among the points I shared with Randolph Lumm, secretary of the Maricopa Community College District Governing Board and GCC's representative to that body, when he visited our main campus in late October.

Yes, this is a time to pause, consider and remember the reasons we are thankful. We are blessed at GCC on so many levels. Your dedication and service are recognized and appreciated. I wish you a most wonderful upcoming holiday season. Indeed, may we all be thankful!
