Fire Truck from Glendale Supports Instruction
On Jan. 13 a brief ceremony at Fire Station powndsine157 on the GCC campus marked the dedication of a pumper truck from the City of Glendale Fire Department to GCC's Fire Science program. GCC will lease the truck for only $1 a year. Hundreds of Fire Academy and Fire Science students will benefit from the truck in fire simulations and other types of training. This is just one of many productive partnerships between GCC and the City of Glendale. Below, Glendale Mayor Elaine Scruggs and GCC Interim President Jean Ann Abel are joined by students and dignitaries from the College and the City at the presentation ceremony.
