The class certifies officers as AzPOST High Risk Stop Instructors.

Class is 20 hours in length and is AzPOST approved for 20 hours of continuing or proficiency training.

Class format: Two class periods. 10am – 8pm each. Usually Saturday and Sunday.

Costs: 1¼ credit hour plus $15 lab fee. There is also a $15 registration fee if you are not currently enrolled at GCC.

Class Requirements:

Must be a certified peace officer. (ID will be checked on the first day.) Must be an AzPOST General Instructor.
Duty leather gear WITHOUT firearm or ammunition.
Like other schools (including AzPOST), GCC does not have enough squad cars available and will ask students to supply them for the scenarios if possible.
