NOTE: If you are registering for a LEO class you should either call the number listed below or register in person at GCC. Online registration will be difficult because these classes are restricted to Law Enforcement Personnel requiring proof of eligibility.

Tactical Operations LEO289AI
Command structure, individual responsibilities, and types of equipment and tactics used in police tactical operations.
Class is 16 hours in length and is AzPOST approved for 16 hours of continuing training.
Class format: Two contiguous days, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Costs: 1 credit hour plus $5 course fee. There is also a $15 registration fee if you are not currently enrolled at GCC.
Class Requirements: Must be a certified peace or corrections officer. (I.D. will be checked on first day of class.)
Class Content:
Qualifications desirable of a member of a tactical team
Tactics used in barricaded suspect situations
Tactics for a successful search warrant service
Tactics that can be implemented for arresting a violent offender
Threat level protection afforded by the various ballistic shields and body armor
Lethal weapons commonly used by law enforcement tactical teams
Less lethal options commonly used by law enforcement tactical teams
Types of chemical agents used by police agencies
Tactics to be used during rescue operations
Protective equipment required for serving a search warrant on a clandestine lab
Responsibilities of the various positions on a tactical team and the equipment requirements for each position
