| This program is suggested for students who wish to explore educational and/or occupational opportunities, or students who wish to pursue a broad
two-year program of college courses. The following guidelines suggest which degree might be the appropriate goal.
AA Degree: This degree is appropriate for students who are
currently undecided about a major course of study, but who intend to transfer to a four-year institution to complete a baccalaureate degree. (Once a major is chosen, students are urged to consult with a departmental advisor in order to plan an appropriate program.)
AGS Degree: This degree is appropriate for students who wish
to explore a broad range of subjects for personal satisfaction without intending to transfer to a four-year institution.
Note: Students who later decide to pursue the Associate of Applied Science
(AAS) degree in a specialized career program should consult with a faculty advisor for that program as soon as possible after the decision is made. |
