Laberinto's Editorial Policy

Laberinto welcomes submissions in English or Spanish exploring early modern Hispanic texts and culture (1450-1750) from theoretical and/or cross-disciplinary perspectives. Studies which utilize the supplementary multimedia possibilities of website publication (use of graphics, of audio and video segments, etc.) are particularly encouraged. Contributors may follow either MLA or Chicago style and should keep notes to a minimum, using endnotes rather than footnotes. Submissions should include an abstract of no more than 100 words and be approximately 4,000 words (16 double-spaced pages) in length. They may be in any of the following formats: HTML, ASCII, Word Perfect, Microsoft Word. Article texts may be submitted to one of the editors via electronic mail or sent in diskette form (be sure to specify both file name and format on diskette).  The editors will be responsible for converting illustrations or audio and video segments into electronic formats, and contributors are welcome to submit these supplements in the form of photographs, high-quality photocopies, compact disks, videocassette tapes, etc., all of which will be returned after conversion. These supplementary materials should also be sent via regular mail to one of the editors.
