College
- The Math Solution provides FREE drop-in tutoring for
all mathematics students at GCC. The Mathematics Department
operates this program and provides tutoring by Math
faculty, staff and advanced students. Over 1000 students take advantage
of this valuable resource every semester. Check out the Math

- Community Outreach: As part of a service learning component
of MAT156, Theory of Elementary Mathematics, each student tutors elementary
students at a local school. For more details on this highly successful
project, contact Dr. Ted Corley at 435-3673.
- The Math Success Orientation provides math tutoring classes
for students who have a difficult time with mathematics. The CPD150AA course
also deals with math study skills and confidence building. Students receive
approximately 30 hours of tutoring for the $25 fee. Contact Al Shipley

- The Integrated Engineering Program ties together a set
of courses in Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and Engineering. Contact
Dan Cortney at 435-3673.
- The Pre-Nursing Integrated Program involves a sequence
of courses in Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry. Contact John Grima at
435-3718.
- Math Field Day in the Spring involved local high school
students who participated in a mathematics competition, followed by activities
and demonstrations at GCC. Contact Anne Dudley at 435-3389.
