Welcome to the SIS Web Site

Glendale Community College is excited about the arrival of the new Student Information System (SIS) that will replace the 21-year-old Legacy SIS. Although Legacy SIS has served us well and exceeded its life expectancy, the new SIS will allow us to serve students in new ways. The SIS includes five modules that will bring new functionality to each of these areas.

  • Recruitment and Admissions (AD)
  • Academic Advisement/Curriculum (AA)
  • Student Records (SR), Financial Aid (FA)
  • Student Financial Services (SF)

GCC, along with our sister colleges and skill centers, is actively engaged in preparing for the implementation. Each college has an implementation team responsible for planning and preparing the college for the new Student Information System. Our team, GCC SIS CIT, meets monthly . In addition, GCC representatives participate in district-wide groups:

  • College Implementation Managers (SISCITMGR)
  • Functional councils including Admissions and Records, Financial Aid, District Academic Advisors Council, Technology Leadership Council, Deans of Students, Deans of Instruction, Help Desk, and Regional Training Committee.
  • Other functional teams have been formed to focus on specific area. They are, Non-Credit, Security, Facilities and Resource 25

Each of the district-wide groups has responsibilities tied to the successful implementation of the new SIS.

Implementation Schedule: Version 8.9 of PeopleSoft Student Administration is scheduled to "go-live" sometime after Spring 2008 registration is complete. System Setup and Design (SSD) will occur in phases with testing occuring with each release of EASIS Plus (Early Access Student Information System) and total system testing occuring before the "go-live" date.
