FAQ's regarding Background Check

Potentially there could be a wait of up to 5 semesters (2.5 Years) from the time you apply until the time you are placed into a MaricopaNursing Program.
We have no way to know if the CEP (Maricopa/NAU Concurrent Enrollment Program) will extend the wait time on the list. However, while waiting you should consider completing all co-requisities for the nursing program AND taking courses such as:

  • HCR 240 Pathophysiology
  • FON 241 Nutrition
  • HCC 145AA Medical Terminology

which will assist you when you are admitted into the program.

The Maricopa Nursing Program is approved by the Arizona State Board of Nursing, and
accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
