Would you like to acquire leadership skills that are meaningful to you personally and professionally? The benefits are endless. Learn more about yourself and others and gain an advantage in applying for jobs, promotions or academic programs. The first step in getting involved with the Student Leadership Experience Program is to obtain and complete an application. Applications for the 2004 - 2005 program are available from this site or from the Office of Student Life in the Student Union. Submit completed applications by Friday, September 10th no later than 4:30 pm. Interviews will take place Monday and Tuesday, September 13 - 14th. Applicant results will be announced Wednesday, September 15th. Student leaders may select and register from the Embarking, Exploring, and Emerging Leadership Activities listed on our menu of opportunities . Additional pre-requisites and/or requirements may apply for some activities. Space may be limited so early registration is important to ensure a seat. For more information, contact the Office of Student Life. Leadership Activities are broken down in to 3 categories: Embarking, Exploring, and Emerging. Embarking Activities are short term workshops activities that require 1-3 hours of time. Exploring Activities require an average time commitment of 6-18 hours. Emerging Activities are more in-depth projects and classes that require 20 or more hours of work. |
