The Trip Reduction Ordinance is the result of a bill passed by the Arizona legislature in 1988. The law is part of Arizona's ongoing effort to comply with federal air quality standards.
MCCCD-GCC has been implementing its Trip Reduction Program to comply with the The Omnibus Air Quality Act. The goal is to reduce air pollution by reducing drive-alone trips to the campus.
This site offers information on how to take an active role to improve the quality of the air we breathe by exploring other ways to get to campus: carpool, vanpool, bicycle, bus and compressed schedule–for clearer skies and cleaner air in Arizona.
