Glendale Community College offers many tutoring services for students. Many of the departmental schedules are set after the start of any new semester.

The Center for Learning provides free support services for all GCC students: tutoring, computer labs, multimedia, and study strategies.

Fall & Spring Semesters: Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m., Friday 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Saturday 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Summer Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Summer hours may vary.

Chemistry Assistance

The Chemistry Department offers Chemistry Help every Monday (C.H.E.M.) from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. in PS-150. Additionally, they offer drop-in tutoring, with qualified adjunct and residential faculty on a schedule that varies each semester. The schedule for tutoring is posted in all the classrooms and laboratories, as well as in the commons area.

Math Solution - Free Tutoring

Drop-in Mathematics tutorial facility located in the northwest area of the MA building. Students needing tutorial assistance in math courses from Arithmetic Review through Calculus are welcome to drop in during the scheduled hours of operation. The Math Solution is staffed by Mathematics Faculty, student part-time tutors, and members of the community.

Hours of operation: Monday through Thursday - 8:00 AM to 8:30 PM; Fridays - 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

The Writing Center

The Writing Center offers students free 30-minute appointments with a faculty member to discuss their writing. Most students bring in assignments that they're currently working on, although they can also ask about prewriting, writing résumés, taking essay tests effectively, general study skills, etc. Any writing in any class -- lab reports, research papers, business writing, and so on -- is fair game.
