Accessibility Tools and Resources
Becky Lombard of GCC Disability Services & Resources shared information about how to design a college web site to be accessible to all users in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and related legislation. To illustrate this need, she also demonstrated the use of screen-reading software used by the blind to access the information Maricopa publishes on the Web.
Becky has designed a new web site for the DSR department at http://www.gc.maricopa.edu/dsr/ which includes links to many sources of information on this subject.
