Web Management Authority:
1. What Do We Need To Learn?

The Web Management Authority topic was introduced with a debate on Centralized Web Management vs. Distributed Web Management, followed by teams of conference attendees providing the ideas that follow.

The attendees were also invited to add to their notes More Commentary on Web Management Authority, which is reported separately from the outline of this page. The lists below focus only on responses to the first half of the Danger in the Construction Zone instructions.

WHAT DO WE NEED TO LEARN?

    Summary:

    • We need to learn about the options for how web publishing can be organized, managed and/or funded.
    • We need to understand the purposes and goals of web sites, and determine who should authorize the information published to serve those goals.
