KBAQ/KJZZ Radioeditor

John Tynan, Webmaster for radio stations KJZZ, KBAQ, and Sun Sounds, will demonstrate an editing program developed at Rio Salado College to distribute the task of updating web sites.

The Radioeditor is an on-line editing system designed specifically to allow on-air personalities with little or no experience in HTML to create web-based content, while maintaining the integrity of the HTML code, ensuring a consistent look and feel of the pages, and upholding security restrictions as outlined by the Rio Salado Information Services department.

Examples of the editor at work include:

The Radioeditor runs solely in Internet Explorer, and was developed by John with consultants Noah Dedmore and John Arbaugh. The current version of the editor incorporates code created by Scott Isaac, author of Inside Dynamic HTML. A new version is in the works which will replace this code with some scripts that are more easily maintainable, and will have the ability to save pages by way of FTP.
